AIM Sydney is throwing a series of concerts, performances and live interviews at our new campus to kick off the study period in 2022. Expect talks from leading music / mental health charities, an introduction to our student-led record label and some great live music.
Wed 16 Feb: Support Act Live Talk with Clive Miller
Witness a live talk delivered by Clive Miller, the head of Support Act. As Australia’s premier charity dedicated to supporting the mental health of the music industry, Support Act has played a crucial role in the Aussie music world, especially over the last two years. Q&A session to be hosted by AIM Chair Ed St John.
Thur 17 Feb: Haley Holgate @ The Amphitheatre
AIM student Haley Holgate is in her final year of her Contemporary Music degree, and has been performing regularly at venues around Sydney. Between studies and gigs she’s been focusing on songwriting, preparing to release her original works in early 2023.
Wed 23 Feb: 2030 Records Interview
Meet the students running AIM’s own student-led independent record label 2030 Records in this week’s lunchtime session. The Program Director of the Bachelor of Entertainment Management degree Tim Kelly will also appear for an in-depth interview about his story: breaking artists whilst working for leading major and indie labels all around the world.
Wed 24 Feb: Lunchtime Cabaret
AIM’s Music Theatre program will provide a wonderful selection of cabaret style performances from some of our brightest stars and most brilliant performers. Lunchtime Cabaret will feature Samantha Hayward, Eddie Langford and Maria Soto Correa.
